Description
The AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to design, implement, and manage complex networking tasks on AWS. This course is structured around four main domains that align with the ANS-C01 exam, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the certification test.
In the Network Design domain, students will learn how to design solutions that incorporate edge network services for global architectures, DNS solutions for various requirements, and solutions integrating load balancing for high availability, scalability, and security. They will also learn how to define logging and monitoring requirements across AWS and hybrid networks, and design routing strategies and connectivity architectures for various scenarios.
The Network Implementation domain focuses on the practical aspects of implementing routing and connectivity in various contexts, creating complex hybrid and multi-account DNS architectures, and automating and configuring network infrastructure.
In the Network Management and Operation domain, students will learn how to maintain routing and connectivity on AWS and hybrid networks, monitor and analyze network traffic to troubleshoot and optimize connectivity patterns, and optimize AWS networks for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
The Network Security, Compliance, and Governance domain will teach students how to implement and maintain network features to meet security and compliance needs and requirements, validate and audit security using network monitoring and logging services, and implement and maintain the confidentiality of data and communications of the network.
Throughout the course, students will engage in interactive discussions, examine real-world examples, and participate in hands-on exercises. Practice questions are provided to help students gauge their understanding and readiness for the exam. By the end of this course, students will be well-prepared to tackle the AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty exam with confidence.

Prerequisites
AWS Knowledge: A strong understanding of AWS core services, particularly those related to networking such as Amazon VPC, Route 53, Direct Connect, and more. It's recommended that candidates have professional experience architecting and implementing network solutions on AWS.
Networking Experience: Candidates should have a deep understanding of networking concepts, including the OSI or TCP/IP model, subnetting, routing, and more. They should also have experience with network technologies as they relate to AWS, such as VPNs, network gateways, and CIDR blocks.
AWS Certification: While not strictly required, it's often recommended that candidates have either the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certification before attempting this specialty exam.
Hands-On Experience: Practical experience with AWS networking concepts, hybrid IT network architecture design and implementation, network security best practices, and understanding of network optimization for performance and cost are also recommended.
Security Knowledge: Understanding of security concepts and experience implementing security controls and compliance requirements are beneficial.
